Planning for Revisions and Updates
A plan for updates should be established during the planning process to incorporate regularly scheduled reports on progress from those responsible for various elements of the plan. For instance, in an organization with a leadership team that consists of a CEO and six direct reports at the manager level, each of the managers could be assigned to one or more of the plans’ strategies. These managers might be expected to report their progress at monthly meetings on a cyclical basis, so that one strategy was covered each month. The managers might also ask their direct reports to report to them on their progress toward accomplishing their assigned tactics in the plan.
