You can find samples and templates for performance action plans on various websites and in business manuals, but it’s probably better to come up with one on your own. Developing your own plan allows you to customize it to address a particular problem or problems you’re encountering with your employee.
Some managers balk at the idea of writing their own plans. They’re afraid doing so will be too difficult or will take too much time.
