Bite the Bullet

Can you have bullet points in your Plain Text resume? The answer is yes! The latest version of Word hangs on to bullet points when a document is saved as Plain Text. The bullet points are smaller but they’re bullet points, nonetheless. However, once your resume is in Plain Text, there’s no easy way to create new bullet points. You can, however, copy and paste bullet points from within the Plain Text document. So, yes, you can have bullet points in your resume, which gives it a little more pizzazz than Plain Text resumes of yesteryear.
 
Alternatively, you can delete each bullet point and replace it with one of the following keyboard characters:
◆ Dash (-)
◆ Plus sign (+)
◆ Asterisk (*)
◆ Greater-than sign (>)
◆ Dash and greater-than ...
