Exceptions to the No-Paragraph Commandment

Remember Commandment VI from Chapter 3, “Thou shalt not write in long paragraphs; thou shalt use bullet points”? The Summary of Qualifications section is one place where you can break that rule. In this section, there are two options for formatting your statements:
◆ Three or four bullet point statements (as used in the sample resumes at the end of this chapter).
◆ Two short paragraphs, each introduced with a term (such as “Experience” or “Leadership”) and followed by statements that support that introductory term.
