ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Karen Michel is a mixed-media artist who lives in New York where, with her husband Carlo Thertus, she runs a nonprofit visual art center for children called The Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation (www.caskfoundation.org).
Her books, paintings, and collages have been published in numerous books and exhibited throughout the United States as well as internationally. When not in her studio at the art center, Karen can be found teaching mixed-media art workshops throughout North America or feeding the pigeons in the park.
