Macro Photography in the Studio

Shooting under controlled and reproducible circumstances is possible only in the studio. When I’m working indoors, my objective and style are completely different from what they are when I’m shooting outdoors. With the ability to control my surroundings completely, I aim to highlight the shape of an object and to use light to tease out its beauty. In a word, design is everything. For me, this goal is best achieved by entirely manual methods, which allow me to customize lighting, shutter speed, and aperture to achieve my targeted results.
