3 Follow the mission

Many companies are good at ticking boxes. But ticking a box is not necessarily the same as making real progress towards a goal. Very few companies are good at regularly delivering alignment with a mission – and that is when you make real progress.

What do I mean by this? It is possible for companies to set objectives at the beginning of the year; indeed, most do. They can then tick off those objectives as “achieved” – to reach sales of x in Q1. They take this seriously as a process but not as an activity.
