Chapter 1. Aim

 

Strengthening your Charisma Effect starts with raising your level of self-awareness – that is knowing:

  • who you are and what you stand for

  • the effect you have on others

  • the effect others have on you

  • what is happening around you.

Raising self-awareness may sound daunting but the mirror work out (see page xx) was a start in that direction, making you more alert as to who you are and what others see in you.

You are being self-aware when you:

  • can look at yourself coolly and objectively, and can probe and analyse the whole person, warts and all

  • accept other people’s evaluation of you without becoming defensive or fearing a threat to the core of your being.
