Inadvertent Change

Family members of a client were beginning to notice a change in him. He was getting very negative, telling off-color jokes, and seeing the dark side of nearly every situation. His family finally mentioned to him that he was becoming cynical, negative, and unpleasant to be around. Fortunately, he mentioned it to me, and we started to focus on trying to figure out if it was valid and, if so, why his behavior had changed.
