Have you ever visited a town or neighborhood where you used to live? Remember how easy it was to find your way around the house when you lived there, maybe as a child? Now try and think about how well you would do if you were put in the same house today with a blindfold on. Sure, you would remember a lot, but there would be a vast amount of details of the house that you have forgotten. You physically moved years ago and have since learned all about a new house. You now have new habits and memories compatible with the place you currently live in. Your current memories and habits are much stronger than those habits and memories from your childhood. In the same way, old habits can be replaced by new and preferred habits.
