REPETITION

Much of human behavior is unconscious. When this trait is combined with the way we make decisions, a process based on need fulfillment and emotional triggers, it becomes clear that to change how we behave is not a simple matter. It all starts by knowing what is important to do, and repeating it, as opposed to what should be stopped or avoided.

Self-awareness at this level is uncommon. You and I have certain behaviors or habits that we are not aware of, and some of those behaviors may even be negative or destructive. That state or condition is called being “unconsciously incompetent.” In a very real sense, this is a form of ignorance—not stupidity, just the condition of being unaware.
