After You've Transferred Your Images

Once you've transferred your images, you'll be ready to start the rest of your postproduction workflow—correcting, editing, adjusting, and outputting your images. With these first four chapters, you should know how to shoot in Full Auto mode and transfer your results to your computer. This means you can continue to practice while we cover some new topics.

While modern image-editing software can do some amazing things, how much editing you can perform is limited by the quality of your original shot. So, we're going to now delve more deeply into some photographic theory so that you can learn to use the more advanced features on the Rebel XS. These features will allow you to shoot images that can withstand a much greater level of editing and adjustment.
