Exercise 8.1 This exercise reminds you that pencil and paper are still very convenient tools. You’ll work by trial and error, so print several copies of the 960 Grid System sketch sheet. The first layout of a web page is always made this way, and using sketch sheets helps you place your blocks correctly. To use the template, select Image: File > New and choose the TEMPLATE menu in the dialog that opens.

Exercise 8.3 You don’t need to create extremely precise areas because users will not click their mouse far from the middle of a natural area. To make text appear when the mouse hovers over an area, use the title=... tag, as suggested in the third part of the Area Settings dialog.
