Something about this article precisely captures the essence of what I consider to be "elegance" in software writing. The clarity and poetry in writing; the clean sparse lines of thought; the erudition; and the blockbuster, showstopper, mind-numbingly beautiful closing paragraph ... I think I'm going to faint; get me a chair.
