Business functions. Customer types. Geographical regions. Product categories. All are important factors by which companies organize. But which should get more attention, and which less? Which deserve prominent boxes and lines on the org (organizational) chart? Organizational structure is the plan for—and the reality of—how power and responsibility are distributed across an organization.
