The summer months are a challenge for astrophotographers; and at the higher latitudes, this extends a few either side. During these months, with their long evenings, it is a good time to do all those little projects that make your imaging more reliable and convenient. For those of you with a temporary setup, anything that reduces the setup time and makes it more robust is a good thing.
