Thank your clients fortaking the time to havelunch with you.

Lunch is finished. Now what? You’ll likely either end up by saying good-bye outside the restaurant, or by returning your client to his or her office. I always make sure to tell my clients how much I enjoyed going to lunch with them, regardless of whether it was our first time meeting, or one of many lunches we’ve had together. Then I thank them for taking the time to have lunch with me. You may think this is absurd, because I was the one who took them to lunch. You might think your clients should thank you for taking them to lunch, especially if you didn’t talk specifically about business, or try to “sell” them anything.
