What’s that? Oh my goodness! You’re in the middle of discussing your client’s budget for the coming year and your cell phone is ringing! Unless you have a family member in the hospital, remember to turn your phone off when you meet your client. If you have forgotten to turn it off (I’m pretty sure we all have at times), it is best to apologize, decline to accept the call with the push of a button, and then turn it off immediately. Another apology doesn’t hurt. Your immediate response will be appreciated.
