Analog audio recording
Analog audio recording has a long history which was outlined in Chapter 1. Today analog recording is somewhat in retreat owing to the progress made in the digital domain. Nevertheless a significant amount of analog recording equipment will remain in service and a proper treatment is justified here. The audio recording systems considered here are magnetic tape and vinyl disk.
