REQUEST LETTERS

A request letter is written to seek information, permission, or an explanation. This type of letter should (Figure 69):

image Be courteous, tactful, brief, confident, and persuasive.

image Be straightforward and include as much detail as possible about the request.

image Not be overbearing or manipulative in trying to obtain the request.
