COLLECTION LETTER
Collection letters are written to collect amounts owed on a past-due account. When writing a collection letter, consider the following tips (Figure 21):
Gather all the facts about the customer’s account.
Be specific about the amount owed and the date the funds were due.
Let the customer know what the penalty will be if he or she fails to pay by a specific deadline.
Example: If your payment is not received by November 1, 2012, ...
