It’s Early to Bed for the Boomers

One surprising area of growth will be the high-end mattress market, thanks to Boomers like me. I can’t sleep. I wake up two or three times a night to use the bathroom and raid the refrigerator. My wife has a problem sleeping as well, but she doesn’t get up. She just complains and blames the problem on our $2,000 mattress. “It’s worn out,” she says. It looks fine to me. In fact, it looks new when the sheets are stripped off. She makes me stoop down and look across the top of the mattress where she sees an invisible indentation. “See that? That’s the problem,” she states with conviction. I can see another mattress purchase on the horizon. Why me?
