Preparing for the Communication

Having got a clear understanding of the objectives of communication and performed audience analysis, now is the time to get to the logistical preparations for the communication. This includes:

  • Gathering and organizing all the necessary support data
  • Finalizing the mode of communication
  • Deciding the location of communication
  • Ensuring that all the infrastructural elements are in order
  • Notifying all the participants with agenda items and logistical details.

Obviously, the last three will be applicable only if the medium of communication is a meeting and if it is not a written communication.
