Denise Gonzales Crisp

Denise Gonzales Crisp is professor of graphic design at North Carolina State University, and designer of the occasional studio SuperStove!. She was invited by curators Jimmy Luu and Ryan Molloy to attend the 2009 exhibition ‘Dimension+ Typography’ at I Space Gallery in Chicago. She constructed Prototype, a ‘text garland’ of twisted copper wire, 25.4 cm x 10 m (10in x 33ft), that meandered through the galleries, using the third and fourth dimensions to give form to the act of reading.
