104. Melt Conflict Icebergs

Conflict means people have an important difference. Skillful leaders recognize that little or no conflict can signal that people do not care, feel uninvolved, or do not believe their ideas matter. Too much conflict creates destructive tension and bickering and locks people up. Master leaders also know that conflict is inevitable. It exists in every work setting. Conflict can be a creative, motivating force when it is resolved effectively. Master leaders use conflict to move and motivate. They resolve it by melting the conflict iceberg.
