Fred Perkins used to love his retail job at a sporting goods store. It fit with his interests, was colorful, and he met a lot of really cool people at work. Lately, though, he found himself dragging his feet on the way to work, even after a couple double latte grandes. Why? What was once fun had become the same old, same old and, worse, he’d let it. So he started to ask himself why he’d taken this job in the first place. Aside from watching sports on television, he used to participate a lot more. He was a jogger, an avid archer, and had been toying with taking up golf for a couple of years.
