5.15. Summary

This chapter has covered the fundamentals of creating automated user interface testing. With this knowledge you will be able to begin developing a very effective test suite that can drive multiple browsers and test for various UI issues that might occur. Throughout this chapter you've been introduced to many tools that perform the same tasks, but do them differently. You may be thinking at this point, "Should I be using WatiN, Selenium, or Visual Studio web tests?" We're hoping that you have come to the conclusion that it depends on the situation. We're also hoping you walk away from this chapter with the knowledge of why UI testing is important and a realization that it is possible to develop an automated UI suite without spending large sums of money and devoting a massive amount of time.
