Let us examine the time frame of bringing a project to market from different perspectives and examine the impact on the value of the information versus its timeliness.

To do this with some level of quantification, a measure on the “value” of the information must be made. This can be straightforward. For example, if you knew what a lottery number was going to be, the value of the information would equal the jackpot.
