ResUsage

ResUsage stands for Resource Usage, and its major objective is to track CPU and Disk/IO resources along with parallelism on a Teradata system.

ResUsage data gathering is a two-phase process that involves data collection first and then data logging.

ResUsage comes with a set of tables, views, and macros to access system metrics. Once collection is started, the logging of metrics begins and the views and macros can be run to see the results.

The DBA must perform a BEGIN LOGGING for any data to be stored inside ResUsage tables and must perform an END LOGGING to stop the process.
