The following are the steps for resolving a slow or hung system:
- Log on to your database via SQLA/Teradata Studio or a remote console.
- If step 1 succeeds, then the database is not hung.
- Execute the following query and check the response time. These query runs with a minimum response time when the system is performing optimally:

- Check on viewpoint, system health portlet; if it shows down, check the number of sessions in the query monitor window:
