The following are the steps for creating a Teradata database:
- Open Teradata Studio and connect to your Teradata system.
- In the administrator window in Studio, click on Create a new database:
- It will bring up a box where you need to fill in the details of the new database. In the General tab, put in the name of the database, then from the list select the parent under which you want to create this database. The new database will go under DBC or the admin database container you might have created on the system, such as SYSDBA or DBA:
