How it works...

One archive statement can only back up one table/object type at a time, which could be data, a dictionary, no fallback, or a journal. Users must submit multiple archive statements in order to archive each. Following is a description of each archive type:

Object type Description
Tables Fallback-non fallback, partition-non partition, all AMP-multiple AMP
Dictionary table Back up DD
No fallback table Back up tables on AMP that is down during data table archiving
Journal table DD tables and journal tables
