How it works...

You might need to restart the system to kill an unwanted process, after making changes to the system, or even after a version upgrade. TPA reset is done using using various options, as shown in the following table:

Option Meaning
-f Forces full reboot of all nodes. No Linux restart occurs.
-x Shuts down the database.
-y Auto confirmation, silent restart.
-d To take dump before restart.
-l Restarts with delay.
-p Node panic before dump is taken.
-q Silent mode, no user confirmation is asked for.
