How to do it...

Connect to the Teradata node using the remote console utility. Log in as a root user, as can be seen in the following screenshot:

Connect to the ctl utility and execute the following command, as shown in the following screenshot. It will show the amount of FSG cache available to a node:

The following output would be generated, with maximum, minimum, and average values. This shows that AMP does not use all the memory but only a portion of it as per its needs:

Now check the percentage of memory allocated to the system ...
