You need to connect to the Teradata Database console. As we will be performing the restart on the VMware machine, you need to make sure that the bin directory is added to the session path. If the following command gives you an error, follow the next step:
tparesetbash: tpareset: command not found
For Linux, execute tdatcmd—this adds the directories to the path to execute command-line utilities.
For Windows, go to Start | Programs | Teradata Database | Database Window:
