Adding a Shape to a Web Site Map

You can manually add new shapes to an already generated site map. Adding new shapes allows you to prototype new features, pages, and links.

Simply drag the selected shape into your drawing page. Right-click and choose the Configure Hyperlinks command. Within the Hyperlinks dialog box, type or navigate to an Internet or local address. Give the link a description that is displayed under the link shape.

With the shape link in your drawing document, connect it to its adjacent shapes to give it a place within the hierarchy.

The link shape is now added to the site map. You can verify this by viewing the List Window in Figure 13.11. The List Window shows all link shapes the site map produces.
