Using Headers and Footers in Foreground Pages

Headers and footers are typically used in printed documents. You can create headers and footers that include page numbering, the date, the file name, and even small amounts of types in text that are usually printed at the top or bottom of each page in a document. Figure 4.7 shows an example of the Header and Footer dialog box.

To add headers and footers to a drawing:

  1. Choose the Header and Footer command on the View menu. This brings up the Header and Footer dialog box.

  2. Click the arrow to the right of the text box for each location; left, center, or right for each the header and footer.
