Creating Replicas Remotely
If it is possible to take your laptop to work and connect to the network to create replica databases, do so. Otherwise, you need to create replicas over the phone line, which can take a long time. If you must create replicas over the phone line, follow these steps:
Make certain that you have properly configured your Connection and Location documents.
Call into the server by choosing File, Mobile, Call server from the menu. Select the server you want to call from the drop-down Server list if more than one is listed.
After you are connected to the server, the status bar indicates "connected to server." Create replicas of the databases you need by following the instructions in Lesson 11.
