Lesson 15. Creating Special Data Entry Fields on a Form

In this lesson, you'll learn about some special controls you can include on your forms.

As you're going to see in this lesson, it takes a little extra time to set up one of Access's special data entry fields on a form. Here are some reasons why you should do it:

  • Special data entry fields make your form look more professional.

  • They decrease the amount of typing you have to do when entering records.

  • They decrease the possibility of typing errors, making for more reliable data.

Figure 15.1 shows the sample form you'll be working with in this lesson, with a list box and an option group already created. You can see how these controls make the form much more attractive and easy to use!
