Selecting a Range

To select a range using the mouse, follow these steps:

  1. To select the same range of cells on more than one worksheet, select the worksheets (see Lesson 9).

  2. Move the mouse pointer to the upper-left corner of a range.

  3. Click and hold the left mouse button.

  4. Drag the mouse to the lower-right corner of the range and release the mouse button. The selected range is highlighted.

There are some techniques that you can use to quickly select a row, a column, an entire worksheet, or several ranges, as shown in Table 10.1.
