Using AutoCorrect to Correct Spelling Mistakes
Excel's AutoCorrect feature automatically corrects common typing mistakes as you type. If you type a mistake (such as "teh" instead of "the") and press Enter, Excel enters the corrected text in the cell. AutoCorrect also corrects two initial capitals. For example, if you type "MAine" and press Enter, Excel will enter "Maine" in the cell. In addition, AutoCorrect capitalizes the first letter of a sentence and the names of days.
You can teach AutoCorrect the errors you normally make, and have it correct them for you as you type. For example, if you always type "breif" instead of "brief," you can add it to the AutoCorrect list. You can also use AutoCorrect to replace an abbreviation, such as ndiv, with ...
