In TV drama, the scenes are written much like films or motion picture screenplays. Every scene has rich visualization, describing specific visual action, character action, and reactions. The scenes are part of a visual sequence that builds the pacing of the script.

Dramatic action series have their own lead characters, which have their own unique dialogue patterns and reactions. Think about the different characters and dialogue in series such as “ER,” “NYPD Blue,” “Law & Order,” “The X-Files,” and “Star Trek: Voyager.” The characters must maintain that uniqueness and credibility all through the script.
