DTV production workflowand infrastructure

Now that we've discussed how content gets into a facility and how it is distributed among facilities and consumer-facing distribution points, we can look at the infrastructure, processes, and workflows that produce content inside a broadcast operations center.

Specifically, this chapter will discuss digital production and processing for television up to the transmission phase. In terms of the content life cycle, this includes the creative and assembly phases. When content leaves assembly, it is formatted as packets of data at an appropriate data rate.
