The applicant is a fresh graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He has applied for the post of Scientist in a public-sector R&D establishment. The candidates shortlisted for interview were subjected to screening by giving them a written test. Out of 20,000 applicants, who appeared in the written test, only the top 200 have been shortlisted for interview for 25 vacancies.
After being called for the interview, the candidate walks towards the board room, quietly opens the door and seeks permission to enter.
