The audio equipment in theaters offers enough inputs and outputs to accommodate most production needs. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary to feed an amplified output into a line-level input. The simple solution described here is within the resources of most production organizations.
The amplified-to-line signal circuit illustrated below uses a resistor and an audio transformer to convert the low-impedance, high-current output of the amplified signal to the low-impedance, low current signal required by a line-level input.
