This article describes a simple adapter box that allows an intercom headset with a dynamic mic to function additionally as a page mic. With the adaptation, a Stage Manager can make backstage and in-house pages without having to pick UP a second microphone.

The device acts somewhat like a direct box in an orchestra pit. The mic signal from the headset is split and then fed to both the intercom beltpack and (through a balancing transformer) to any external amplifier with microphone inputs.
