Improved Scene Shop Tuffets

As Steve “Lars” Klein notes, scene shop tuffets have been of great use in general shop operations at Seattle Repertory Theatre and are widely embraced by our artisans. However, we are concerned to note that Mr. Klein has (inadvertently?) used an older and highly unstable tuffet design. The three-wheel design indicated is not recommended for the type of rigorous stress and variable dynamic load configurations found in Tuffet Ball. We have found through extensive field testing that when employed in a standard Tuffet sprint, the rotation of the two lead casters will bring their axles into parallel alignment within inches of the center of the Tuffet.
