Adjustable Scenery Picks of Unistrut®

During the final, climactic moments of the last act, the false proscenium for the Yale School of Drama’s production of The Fatty Arbuckle Spookhouse Review had to fly out of view — along with the rest of the scenery and the show’s lead actress. The 500# false proscenium was a muslin-covered tube steel structure consisting of two legs measuring 2′−6″ × 22′−0″ and a header measuring 2′−6″ × 33′−0″. Because it was designed with a 1′−3″ reveal, we built the unit as three triangular trusses to be assembled at load-in and picked at four points.
