A Quick Review of Where We Have Been
In Chapter 1, “The No-Frills Investment Strategy,” we reviewed concepts regarding and methods of creating investment portfolios that are likely to produce above-average rates of return at below-average risk. Chapter 2, “Two Quick-and-Dirty Stock Market Mood Indicators,” featured two easily maintained market mood indicators that have had excellent long-term histories of separating higher-risk from lower-risk investment climates. Chapter 3, “Moving Averages and Rates of Change: Tracking Trend and Momentum,” discussed how to use moving averages to define the direction and strength of market trend, along with rate of change indicators to further clarify the momentum of such trends.
