BUILD EXTERNAL NETWORKS.

No team is an island. You cannot go it alone. No matter how clear your goals, how detailed your plan, how relaxed your climate, and how effective your meetings, unless you have the support of others outside of the team, you will fail! What do you need from these “outsiders?”

INFORMATION. Teams need accurate and current information, such as customer and market data, production and safety records, and quality and problem-identification reports.

RESOURCES. Teams need all kinds of stuff: people who can provide advice and assistance;, people who can do statistical and laboratory research; people who can make prototypes; and people who can prepare test samples.
